You know what I realized tonight? I finally look like an athlete. I’ve always envied girls where when you look at them you can just tell they work hard at their sport, and for me, my sport is lifting.

Had TRX class today, and then did an hour of cardio. 28 pounds down since i first started my journey! Feeling pretty proud of myself! :)

Oreo Cookie Protein Shake

1 scoop of Vanilla Flavored Protein Powder (I used Pro Fusion by Muscle-Link)
1 or 2 Reduced Fat Oreo Cookie(s) (this can be substituted for a “Sugar Free” Oreo)
1 cup of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
4 pieces of cubed ice (you can use more or less) 

In a blender, just add all the ingredients and blend to however you like it.

***I TRIED THIS TODAY! I REPLACED THE ALMOND MILK WITH 2% MILK, BECAUSE I ONLY LIKE ALMOND MILK BY ITSELF. I FEEL LIKE IT OVERSHADOWS ANY OF THE OTHER TASTES IN THE SHAKE, BECAUSE I MADE IT WITH THE ALMOND MILK FIRST AND HAD TO POUR IT DOWN THE DRAIN :(    ALSO, THIS MAKES A MASSIVE SHAKE, SO I CUT MINE DOWN TO 1/2 CUP OF MILK AND ONLY 1/2 CUP OF PROTEIN POWDER. IT WAS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD! A NICE CHANGE FROM MY NORMAL PROTEIN SHAKE! IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO CHANGE UP YOU’RE POST-WORKOUT DRINK YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY GIVE THIS A TRY. IT’S A NICE TREAT, BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY EATING OREOS EVERY TIME AFTER YOU WORKOUT ISN’T A GOOD IDEA :/ ***
